Shout'Em is a microblogging social networking platform which enables users to create and manage a micorblogging community that works similar to Twitter, Pownce, Ning and Jaiku.
According to the folks at Shout'Em:"We belive that microblogging concept is more suitable for small comunities looking for simple service to comunicate than existing social networks with tons of features. To our customers Shout'Em enables taking care only of the fun part. Naming, colors, design, promotion etc... We take care of all other technical details and provide scalable and reliable software. We like to call this concept "Ning for Twitters"."
Creating a microblogging community using Shout'Em is fast and simple. Sign up for an account with Shout'Em, type in the name, title, URL, description and language of your network. Your social networking platform is up and you can sharing your URL with your friends.
Similar to Twitter, it allows only up to 140 characters per message. I personally love this service is because it not only provides you tons of features and themes, you can even customize your own background for your community.
If you want to have your personal domain instead of using the default Shout'Em URL, you can sign up for the premium service. More features include embedding your ads, more bandwidth and storage, unlimited number of followers, mobile browser support and other customization by customer request.
Shout'Em provides an excellent service and maybe one day, it will beat its fellow competitors in terms of number of users. Not so fast, most probably it will take a few years.
