Walk, Drive & Race Using Windows Live Local

Nowadays, with the latest mapping technology, more and tech companies are coming out with street-side imagery for users like us to take virtual walks around the streets. Google Street View, MapJack and many others have already achieve that, now let's take a look at whether Windows Live Local can win the mapping war.



Powered by Virtual Earth, Windows Live Local has the ability to enable you to view panoramic views of cities with a walk, sports car or a race car along the road, and hence exploring the places around it. The downside of this tool is that there few options of cities to choose. Currently, only two cities - SanFranciso and Seattle are available.

You can choose whether you would like street, road or hybrid for you map. Moving the car of walking is simple. All you need to do is to move your up, down, left, right of your keyboard to explore places in the cities. Windows Live Local has lesser features than it's competitors but at least it works fine. Also, it's photographs are less better and sharper than MapJack.
